Downtown Uxbridge Festival Reveals Initial Artist Lineup, Confirmed Venues; Tickets Now on Sale!

The Springtide Music Festival, a two-day celebration of music and community in downtown Uxbridge, set for Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21, 2018, has announced their festival headliner.

Ontario folk-pop collective Great Lake Swimmers are confirmed to be taking the top spot on a roster that promises more than 50 bands in a variety of eclectic venues, from intimate restaurants to a bookstore to an outdoor stage in a brewery beer garden.

In more than a decade of performing and recording, Great Lake Swimmers has won Favourite Folk/Roots Artist/Group at the Canadian Independent Music Awards, and been nominated for the Polaris Music Prize, a Juno Award for roots and traditional album of the year and a Canadian Folk Music Award.

The band’s latest studio recording, A Forest of Arms, is their sixth album and the follow-up to 2012’s New Wild Everywhere. Their sound has been described as “a surging rhythm section, razor sharp violin, and flourishing banjo and guitars.” Great Lake Swimmers will be performing Saturday evening, April 21.
