The 2019 Springtide Music Festival lineup is killer!

For two days in April, our town will be buzzing with music and community. Seventeen small businesses in historic downtown Uxbridge will be hosting stages or simply opening their doors to acoustic pop-up performances by a wide range of artists.

Our 2019 festival artist lineup has now been announced! To get you in the mood, here’s a closer look at some of the enticing festival moments to come:

The Show Stages

We’ve curated the artists to give you a unique listening experience at each downtown venue. How about a bluesy, funky Friday at the Corner House, closing out with the Jerome Tucker Band, and then an all-out indie rock party Saturday night? Or a quieter room so you can catch every note of fine artists like Tannis Slimmon and Jim Bryson at Tin Mill Restaurant? Enjoy cocktails, appetizers and a great late-night vibe at Urban Pantry Restaurant with artists like Marshall Veroni and DRFTR; or bliss out with coffee, croissants and dynamic duos like CROW at Nexus Coffee. Col. McGrady’s Pub and Grill offers a wide array of indie pop, rock and folk from artists like Rory Taillon and Matt Gunn. The Uxbridge Smokehouse features country singer-songwriters on Friday and folk/roots standouts on Saturday. Hobby Horse Arms offers the smooth sounds of artists like Whitney Ross-Barris. The Second Wedge Brewing Company’s Friday night indoor stage showcases craft-beer-friendly alternative bands like Jenn Fiorentino and STRNGR STRNGR.

The Pop-Ups

At multiple locations, all within an easy 5-minute walk, you can catch 20-minute pop-up shows by festival artists like My Father’s Son, the Django Djunkies and Mount Mural. Drop by Preston Gallery, Keith’s Flowers, Bluebell Paper & Press, Community Cleaners, Rutledge Jewellers, The Lemonade Stand, Main Street Realty and more to explore what they have to offer and discover your new favourite musician.

The Young Artists Stage

We feature a lot of local artists at Springtide Music Festival. How to explain the hotbed of talent that is Uxbridge? We think it’s a matter of teachers, mentors, choirs, theatre groups and multiple Open Mic series that has brought up so many artists. (You know: community!) Our Young Artists Stage features the top young talent from Uxbridge and surrounding areas, offering them a paid gig with pro sound. Come out and hear the future of music at the Corner House on Saturday from 4 to 7 pm.

The Workshop Stage

Meanwhile, just down the road at Tin Mill Restaurant, the Workshop Stage will offer in-depth interviews with a dazzling lineup of musicians, accompanied by unforgettable freestyle jams. Details on all the Workshop Stage sessions, hosted by Tamara Williamson, Bodan Mulholland and Kevin Ker, will be coming soon! Catch them from 4 to 7 pm Saturday.

The Headliner Stage

The outdoor mainstage at The Second Wedge Brewing Company will play host to a stellar lineup of artists starting at noon and rocking out right up to the 8 pm headliner show. Local standouts like Julien Kelland join upcoming stars like Future History and Luna Li, leading to the crescendo that is Birds of Bellwoods, Zeus and festival headliner Born Ruffians. Enjoy craft beer made right on site at The Second Wedge and mobile food options in the tree-lined beer garden. This stage will be sheltered in case of rain, so the show will go on whatever the weather!
