FAQs

How does this festival work?

Springtide Music Festival is a collection of live music shows happening in more than 10 small downtown venues – restaurants, bars, shops and a brewery beer garden. Come downtown, get your wristband on and explore the festival map. Then, find a show you’d like to see and head in to that venue. Enjoy and repeat as often as you like, all day!

How do I get a wristband?

You can buy tickets ahead of time at springtide.tickit.ca and then exchange these for wristbands at the Springtide Music Festival Hub, located at 34 Brock Street West. Or, simply buy your wristbands at the Hub. The Hub will be open the weekend of April 14 and for a few evenings leading up to April 20. A schedule of the Hub’s hours will be published at springtidemusicfestival.com, on or before April 14. Wristbands will also be for sale at gated venues during festival hours.

How much does a wristband cost?

The Friday evening wristband costs $15. The Saturday wristband costs $25. Enjoy both days and SAVE with a weekend wristband priced at only $30!

What does the wristband get you?

Buying a Springtide Music Festival wristband grants you free entry to any of the 6 gated festival venues throughout downtown Uxbridge, provided that venue is not full. Admission is on a first come, first served basis. Festival programming runs from 5 pm to 1 am Friday, April 20; and noon to 1 am Saturday, April 21. The weekend wristband gets you free entry into all shows, all festival long!

What happens if I can’t get into a venue?

Once a venue fills up, it can’t legally bring in more festival goers until some people leave. You may choose to wait till someone moves on, or maybe you’ll discover great music at one of the other venues! In addition to our 6 wristband-only venues, we have 2 ungated venues as well as acoustic pop-up sets in 7 downtown locations. There’s plenty of live music to go around, plus a downtown full of unique shops and restaurants to explore!

How far apart are the venues?

This is the best part of Springtide! From one end of the festival map to the other, it’s only a short 750 metre stroll along our main, historic downtown street.

When does the headliner go on?

Great Lake Swimmers is playing Saturday evening at 8 pm at the outdoor stage at The Second Wedge Brewing Company — rain or shine! Admission to the outdoor stage is by wristband only and, as always, first come, first served.

When does my favourite band play?

We’re currently finalizing band schedules. Full schedules with a venue map will be online at least a week in advance and printed copies will be available at the Festival Hub.

What is the Youth Stage?

The youth stage will showcase talented songwriters and bands ages 18 and under, to inspire audiences young and old alike. We have an amazing lineup of young musicians from the Uxbridge area and the wider GTA. You can get into this venue with a festival bracelet, or pay a reduced rate ($15) at the door. Only the youth stage has a reduced rate at the door. All other gated venues require a bracelet.

What is the Workshop Stage?

The workshop stage is an interactive and intimate series of conversations and collaborations with musicians performing at the festival.  This is a wristband only event.

Can I bring my dog?

While some venues are dog friendly on an ordinary day, we strongly recommend you leave pooch at home when attending the festival. The majority of Festival shows happen inside venues where dogs can’t enter.

Can I bring my kids?

Kids are welcome in the majority of venues, including licensed restaurants, and The Second Wedge Brewing Co. Kids under age 10 accompanied by paying adults attend festival shows free of charge. Note that Wixan’s Bridge downstairs stage is 19+.

Where can I park?

Please see http://discoveruxbridge.ca/plan/parking/ for a map of parking lots on and near Brock Street. The lot at Firebridge Fireplaces (168 Brock St. W.) has free overflow parking available.

What are my food options?

Several of our festival venues are restaurants, and the entire festival strip is our historic downtown business area, so you’re never far from something delicious to eat!
