At 20 years old, Julien Kelland already has 2 EP’s under her belt, over 1 million YouTube views, and 2 viral videos. This doesn’t come as a surprise considering this Uxbridge, Ontario native started singing as soon as she could talk. She has performed over hundreds of shows all over Ontario including HitsFest, The Horseshoe Tavern, and a sold out EP release in her hometown in July 2017. Over the years, she has developed her own voice as an artist and songwriter. Pulling influences from Halsey, Banks, Bishop Briggs, The Weeknd, and Adele, Julien is creating her own version of “Dark Pop”, almost cinematic in production. Big choruses filled with atmospheric & brass synth, minimalistic percussion combined with real instruments like guitar and piano, layered above are her signature, pure vocals with haunting beautiful melodies, this alternative/pop singer is making huge strides toward her goals in the music industry.
Julien found her love for music at a very young age. Her Dad helped to spawn a love for artists like The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and other timeless rock and pop. She began to study voice through the Royal Conservatory of Music, but discovered her true passion lives within writing and recording more contemporary styles. Julien’s philanthropic endeavours include Involvement in Cam’s Kids, Canadian Tire JumpStart & Compassion.
