“A remarkable band made up of remarkably young musicians” (Globe and Mail), Kingdom of Birds are a rock band from Toronto, Ontario, who have been grabbing the attention of unsuspecting audiences, international music blogs, and well-known musicians alike. Kingdom of Birds have released their fourth collection of original songs (this one recorded by Aaron Holmberg, who’s worked with The Tragically Hip, The Arkells and many more.) They have played close to 100 shows opening for acts such as Sarah Harmer, Partner, and Nehiyawak. Kingdom of Birds has been played on CBC, been a featured Spotify Fresh Find, have performed on CP24’s Breakfast television, played Toronto’s Field Trip Music and Arts Festival, and Wavelength Winter Fest. Their last EP Glitz, received positive reviews from around the world, and was featured as a Buried Treasure on NPR program Sound Opinions.
Kingdom of Birds derive their name from a chapter title in the book, “Wildwood” by author/Decemberist, Colin Meloy.
