Basset

Toronto-based folk duo, Basset, are full of timeless heart, with deeply human lyrics and stunning duo harmonies reminiscent of the early folk revival. Yasmine Shelton has one of those instantly recognizable voices that can dive and soar all in a single phrase, while Sam Clark brings nuanced and tasteful support on guitar and other acoustic instruments. CBC Q’s Tom Power says “I think you’re going to love this”.

Basset have toured heavily in the past year, including a three-month tour through Canada, the US, and the UK. They have developed a live show that is both sincere and disarmingly funny. They are making plans for a tour across Canada early in 2025, and a return to the UK and EU in the fall. They have plans to release an EP in summer 2025, with the recent release of “Sail On” and “Oh California” as the first singles.
