Tom Hanley
Tom Hanley has been performing professionally as a guitarist, singer, and songwriter for over a decade. As the primary songwriter, lead vocalist and guitarist for the electro funk band Kayko, he has released three EP’s and one full length record receiving radio play on stations across Canada. Over the past nine years of performing as Kayko, the band has played all over Canada at such festivals as NXNE, The PEI Jazz and Blues Festival, The Burlington Sound of Music Festival, as well as a sold out Virgin Mobile Mod Club.
In 2019, Hanley embarked on a major career change, switching from working with his long time band mates in Kayko to exploring his sound as a solo artist. His new direction showcases his soulful guitar style and pop vocals, similar to that of John Mayer with high energy arrangements and massive “sing along” choruses comparable to The Arkells. He has partnered with producer and cowriter Nixon Boyd (Hollerado / Bossie / Royal Mountain Records), and the duo have been focusing Tom’s artistic vision through writing and recording his debut solo EP.
