Springtide premieres new concert series

On March 15th, Springtide and The Second Wedge Brewing Co. are bringing The Pairs back to Uxbridge after they captivated audiences with their performances at the 2023 Springtide festival.

While attending a ticketed evening show at Springtide sponsor, The Second Wedge Brewing Co. last fall – Bry Webb of the Constantines was the headliner, Springtide Music Festival Co-Founder, Tania Joy Senior, realized that the venue had the potential for those coveted house concert/listening room vibes, while also being a brewery tasting room.

The Springtide Presents Series is supplementary to the full Spring festival, aimed to bring bigger musical names to intimate Uxbridge venues year-round, and support touring acts throughout the year.

Joanne Richter, Co-Founder and Co-Owner of the Second Wedge Brewing Co. says the decision to pair up for this event was easy. “Uxbridge already has an outstanding music scene and it’s always enriching for a community when artists come through from outside of town,” says Richter. “It can be logistically and financially challenging to bring through a touring band, though, so partnering with Springtide Music Festival makes a lot of sense.” says Richter.

The Pairs is an indie-folk trio comprised of Noelle Frances Coughlin, Renée Coughlin, and Hillary Watson.

“Powered by soaring sister harmonies, this quirky trio’s unbottled chemistry quickly connects them to their audience,” notes their website. “With three distinct lead singer/songwriters, The Pairs offer a unique blend of music with stories of life’s hope, hilarity, and hardship.”

The Springtide Presents Series is planning to be shoulder events on either side of the full Springtide Music Festival, with one winter and one fall show each year, creating shared experiences and cultivating a unique connection between audience and performer.

The Pairs show will kick off at The Second Wedge Brewing Co. at 8pm and is a ticketed event for all ages! Tickets are selling fast. And weekend passes for the full June festival are also on sale now!

Springtide welcomes Good Lovelies to Uxbridge Music Hall

We are excited to begin the countdown to this year’s festival with our first artist announcement headlining the launch party at Uxbridge Music Hall on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Please join us in welcoming Good Lovelies for their first ever performance in Uxbridge!

About Good Lovelies

The rich complexity of life is the emotional focus of the much-anticipated new album from one of Canada’s most accomplished and harmonious trios – Good Lovelies.

The songs on We Will Never Be the Same, crafted by the Juno Award-winning ensemble of Kerri Ough, Sue Passmore and Caroline Marie Brooks, are as compelling as the engaging vocal harmonies for which the group has been known for the last 17 years as they mine the complex feelings experienced by women who have come to ponder some of the big questions of life.

This new album is both a return to a more elemental, acoustic-based musical platform reaching back to the early days of the Good Lovelies, as well as an immersive emotional experience crafted by three seasoned songwriters who bring their own real-life stories in all their dynamism and messy complexity to the fore.

We Will Never Be the Same is the group’s fifth full-length studio album adding to a widely acclaimed catalogue of recordings that also includes two beloved Christmas releases. It adds to their already popular concert repertoire as they return to tread the boards in venues throughout North America, the U.K., Europe, Australia, and beyond.

It is a testament not only to their artistry, but also their humanity, and is an album that will continue to endear this beloved group to fans of all ages.
