Trash Panda Brass
Trash Panda Brass formed in the summer of 2022 on the streets of Toronto with a simple mission: to engage crowds and spread queer, inclusive joy. Within two years, they graced the cover of The WholeNote magazine and lit up stages at TD Jazz Fest, DoWest Fest, Cultivate Festival, and the Paris Drinks Fest.
Beyond the stage, Trash Panda Brass is deeply committed to community, education, and representation. They have led educational workshops at The Sterling Hall School and O’Neill CVI, appeared as guest panelists at Queen’s University and Wilfrid Laurier University discussing queer representation in post-secondary music, and performed as featured artists with the Hannaford Youth Band, the Canadian Women’s Brass Conference, International Women’s Day Rallies, and ROM After Dark – Pride.
With all arrangements crafted by band members, Trash Panda Brass is known for their upbeat, high-energy sound that pays homage to quintessential queer hits and icons. Whether on festival stages, in classrooms, or on Toronto sidewalks, Trash Panda Brass is proud to be here—and proud to be queer.
