lilydipper is a Toronto-based band weaving together a traditional folk sound with modern Canadiana storytelling.

The four-piece is made up of Jacob Macpherson (guitar, vocals), Emma Cooper (vocals), Matt Cooke (banjo, mandolin, vocals) and Stephen James Orr (guitar). Their arrangements balance raw acoustic textures with tight vocal harmonies, evoking campfire warmth and dive-bar singalongs.

In July of 2025, lilydipper released their debut EP, friend of a friend – a collection of songs about falling in love, breaking up, and everything in between.

Following this release, they have performed at both the Toronto Folk Festival and showcased at Folk Music Ontario.
