Suburban post-core four piece Mary and Adelaide are lead guitar/vox Aidan McGuirk, Kyle Topolnisky on bass, Sam Szigeti on guitar/vocals and Luke Mitchel on drums. The band began as an act of resistance against the doom and gloom of growing up in Oshawa, Ontario, a city in its waning years as a manufacturing hub. Their name is a tribute to the intersection close to where they rehearsed.

In January 2026 they released their debut album ‘Celebrate Another Day Of Living”, an apt title for our youth who look at their future in much shorter increments than previous generations. But still, the optimism of friends and community is there in each joyful hook, each head banging rhythms, and every group vocal sing-a-long.
